Las Vegas Fire Rescue

Paramedic/Firefighter

President/Treasurer

Born and raised in Las Vegas, I am a husband and a father of two children who are my world. I've dedicated my career to serving the community that shaped me. My journey in the fire service began as an explorer with Clark County Fire Department, progressed to a reserve position with Boulder City Fire Department, and led me to my current role with Las Vegas Fire & Rescue, where I've proudly served for the past nine years. Outside the firehouse, you'll find me on the pickleball court, at the baseball diamond, or playing hockey, sports have always been my outlet and my passion. I founded this charity because I've seen firsthand what our first responders give to their communities every single day. As a firefighter, I also know the unspoken reality: we're trained to run toward danger, to be physically strong and mentally tough, but when it comes to our own mental health, too many of us suffer in silence. There's a stigma that keeps good people from getting the help they need. That ends here. This organization exists to break down those barriers and normalize mental health support for first responders. We're not just talking about wellness, we're actively working to make our firefighters some of the healthiest, most resilient professionals in the nation, inside and out. Because taking care of those who take care of us isn't optional. It's essential.

Las Vegas Fire Rescue

Engineer

Vice President

I was born and raised here in Las Vegas. I’m a husband, and a father of two wonderful daughters. I am an Engineer at Fire Station 1 with Las Vegas Fire & Rescue and have dedicated more than a decade to protecting and supporting the Las Vegas community. I began my public safety career in 2007 after graduating from Canyon Springs HS providing EMS services throughout the valley. I also served as a Hotshot wildland firefighter in Happy Jack, Arizona. In addition to my field service, I have been involved with the development of future firefighters, serving as a cadre member for two LVFR academies and spending three years as an Explorer Advisor, mentoring youth interested in the fire service. I have been a proud member of the LVFR Honor Guard since 2015, where i currently play the bagpipes. Playing sports has always been a huge part of my life, it has been a way to decompress, and build lifelong friendships. I’m excited to part of this organization and to be able to use sports as a way to not only heal, but to bring awareness to mental health, and to break the stigma.

Las Vegas Fire Rescue

Engineer

Secretary

I’m Tyler Elliott, a 42-year-old husband and father of two teenage sons. I was born in California, but “native” to Las Vegas since I was 2 years old. I have a background in construction (finish carpentry), that gave way to higher education to become a teacher, which I ultimately left and have been lucky to serve the City of Las Vegas as a firefighter, beginning in January 2014. I was promoted to Fire Engineer in December 2019, with no current plans to leave the best seat on the department! To my career, I bring elements of teamwork, perseverance, and leadership that I have developed over my life, from work and education, but especially through participation in team sports for most of my life. I am especially passionate about hockey, which I plan to play as long as my body allows, and I also enjoy playing guitar, piano, and singing. I’m proud to be a member of this organization and to contribute my experience and energy to our shared mission.
